Persona-based playtesting, surveyed

Taking stock of persona-driven agents for automated playtesting, and how little the field agrees on.

Persona-based agents are a promising route to behavioural diversity in automated playtesting. We are synthesising how they are built, validated, and evaluated across the literature, and looking hard at two recurring problems: the absence of methodological consensus, and how far the usual testbeds sit from a real production game.
